How do inquiries affect my credit score? Can inquiries be deleted or disputed?
There are two types of inquiries. Type 1 is a “hard” inquiry, which is when a third party downloads your complete credit file. Type 2 is a “soft” inquiry, which is when you view your own credit report through a monitoring service, or a third party just takes a peak at your credit file, perhaps just looking at your name, address, and scores, but not the entire detail of every account.
