How do Insulated Concrete Forms Work?
At Tidewater ICF Designs, we specifically use Amvic ICF webs, which are forms that are manufactured using recycled polypropylene, meaning that over 60% of the weight of an Amvic ICF block is comprised of recycled materials. An environmentally friendly building product, which reduces the overall labor cost and time during construction, provides high performance levels during and after installation. The ICF blocks give the solidarity of concrete, but with higher quality and more benefits, using twin insulating expanded polystyrene (EPS) walls filled with ready mixed concrete. The Amvic ICF webs we use are different from other green construction materials because of the powerful combination of patented reversible FormLock⢠interlock, EPS composition, and of course, the innovative web design.
