How do men and women differ in how they release their bottled up negative emotions from child hood?

Over the years, I’ve noticed that they are different in the way the express bottled up emotions. Men who do keep negative childhood emotions bottled up usually, at some point in their life, have a violent explosion, thereby venting these emotions. Women, on the other hand, are more subtle. They will keep some emotion bottled up for long periods of time (all the while keeping it in mind). And when the time is ripe, they’ll subtly exasperate that emotion. Kind of like revenge. It might be visible, it might not. But the result is the same. Why the differences between genders? Maybe because men and women are raised differently, both psychologically and environmentally..
