How do Roman accomplishments affect peoples lifes today?
Modern script ( the Latin alphabet)came to us through them, though there have been additions (W, J and U) The roman arch in engineering and construction, modern plumbing are still used today too. Roman statues and carving styles were heavily Greek influenced but passed on to us, just like philosophy and much of the written language. A lot of urban planning concepts came from them too. Much of the government structure, while not all of Roman origin, passed on or exactly duplicated, is nominally Roman influenced. Many words have Latin roots, or Greel roots but passed on into Western European dialects by Roman colonisation. A lot of our concepts of road building, aqueducts/ water/sanitation management, and military tactics have Roman roots too.
