How do the e-mail message templates work?
Each mailbox uses a set of templates to control the appearance of the generated e-mail messages. These templates are written in XML and may contain special tags to insert message information such as sender name and address, original message body etc. Additional tags allow conditionally inserting text depending on, for example, the number of answers. The answers are formatted by means of embedded XSL style sheet fragments. The message body generated through this template is formatted in a subset of HTML, which subsequently is rendered into plain text for the e-mail message body. These message templates, combined with the intermediate HTML representation guarantees a very high level of flexibility and ease of customization through standard data representation and formatting languages.
