How do the WTO rules impact on national laws and regulations?
Each WTO member country must ensure the full conformity of its laws, regulations and administrative procedures with its obligations contained in the various WTO agreements. Reservations may only be made to the extent that they are expressly allowed. National laws and regulations which relate to any of the areas covered by the WTO must be submitted to the respective committees for examination by their members for full compliance with the WTO obligations.
