Yep they do use their fingers, first they check whether the cervix is high, or low, then they check if it’s thick, or thinning out, and then how many CM you are dilated. 1 finger – 1-2 cm 2 fingers – 2-4 cm 3 fingers – 4-6 cm 4 fingers – 6-8 cm 5 fingers – 8-10cm Good luck hun, Labour truly is an amazing experience and I can’t wait till I’m doing it again!
