How Do You Add Custom Weapons To “F.E.A.R?
“F.E.A.R.” is a first person shooter game for the PC that has horror elements thrown in to create a frightening atmosphere. Once you’ve finished the game and multiplayer modes no longer interests you, you have the option of adding “mods” (modifications) to the game. Many of these mods involve new, custom weapons that can change the course of the game entirely. Adding these mods to the game, no matter what they are, is a quick and simple process. Download the mod of your choice. Links to some mods are available under the Resources section. Open the downloaded archive file. This is usually a .zip or .rar file. Double-clicking the file if you have the appropriate software will open it. Extract the files by dragging and dropping them into the directory where the game is installed. The default is “c:\Program Files\Sierra\FEAR.” Run the game as normal. The mods will work automatically.
