how do you apply the innovative process to change your organization.

The process of innovation is fairly complex and it can be quite difficult to apply to change an organization.   But it will be easier if you break them down to simpler forms; conception, implementation and marketing.

1.      Determine where an innovation change may help your organization, make two lists intangibles and tangibles.  Is it your organization culture and employee morale or organization website and network connections need to be innovated?

2.      Write down all your analysis ideas and how it addresses the unmet need.  Structure them like a business plan, like the one you did when you started your company or organization.

3.      Ask one of your team member, management team or someone you trust to help and support your idea.  Looking at it from a different perspective will help.

4.      Test your idea, drive your idea forward to review your analysis with any feedback.  Do not take too personally if others has issues with your idea.

5.      Revise and edit your idea based on feedback from your colleagues.  Take all feedback into consideration and think about how you might handle possible objection in the future.

6.      Met with your management or executive team to discuss your idea.  Present and explain thoroughly on your idea and why this change will benefit the organization.  Do your research, so you can back up your claims with statistics (they love numbers).  Explain how your idea will increase profits and/or savings, and how the benefits outweigh the risk.  Present a detailed implementation and rollout plan and ask for specific and timely action steps from your superiors or supervisors.

7.      After your presentation, ask for any feedback from your management and executive teams.  Let them know that you would help whatever way you can to drive your idea forward.

8.      Often executives can be busy, or just resistant to any new changes that may fall apart, just remain persistent and continue to follow up and communicate the reasons why your innovative idea will benefit the organization or company.  Then you will have better chance to execute your idea and change your organization.
