How Do You Attend Central Park Summerstage With A Disability?

0

SummerStage in New York’s Central Park was founded in 1986 and continues to host free concerts of music, plays, dance and film in the summer. The artists range from up and coming to established celebrities. SummerStage and Central Park are fully accessible for those with disabilities. Knowing some information ahead of time will ensure full enjoyment of the SummerStage performances. Use the bus to travel to the park if you aren’t driving. There are bus stops at several entrances of the park and the bus is more wheelchair friendly than the subway or a taxi. Disability equipped taxi services are also available to the park by calling (718) 393-4259. You must apply and reserve the taxi service ahead of time. Refer to the interactive access map to locate entrances and restroom facilities ahead of time. All restroom facilities in the park are accessible except for the Dairy location bathroom. Contact HAI, Hospital Audiences, Inc. at (212) 575-7676 for information on their SummerStage plans. H
