How Do You Boycott Whole Foods Market?
On August 12, 2009, the CEO of Whole Foods Market, John Mackey used his right of free speech to alienate many of the die hard Whole Foods shoppers when he wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal. During this alienation of a large chunk of his customer base, he felt the need to take a stand that showed support in right-wing activities and an anti-health insurance reform. While exercising your First Amendment rights are always acceptable, drawing a wedge between your high-spending customers and your business is not. If you want to show him that such outright, alienating opinions are not okay for business, you can choose to boycott Whole Foods Market. Stop shopping at Whole Foods Market. Yes, it’s addictive.
