To shoot well consistently, you need to sight in your firearm, meaning you have to make sure the firearm’s iron sights or scope are accurate. To do this properly, you need a shooting table. Shooting tables provide a stable, constant surface on which you can rest your firearm to shoot. Shooting tables range from extravagant to simple and easy. Most of all, the tables must be portable. You can build a shooting range table to suit your needs. Mark and cut 1-inch plywood into a 36-by-48-inch piece. Measure and cut the plywood piece 18 inches across and 24 inches down, so the piece resembles an upside down “L” with the cutout. Sand the inside of the “L” cutout.
