How Do You Build A Small Rocket?
Kids of all ages can experience the thrill of launching a rocket virtually any time, any place. You can assemble this handy portable small rocket in a matter of minutes and experiment with trajectories and distances by varying the angle and power used to send the rocket flying. Cut a piece of paper 11 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Hold one of the shorter ends of the paper against a tip of a pencil with one hand and wrap the length of the paper around the pencil, winding down the length of the pencil as you go. Place a piece of tape around the wrapped piece of paper in three places to keep it from unwinding. Remove the pencil and snip both ends of the hollow paper tube with scissors to make each end straight. Design the fins for your rocket and cut out two of them to attach to the bottom end. Cut the fins in any shape you choose and tape or glue them into place with a straight piece of paper that you leave attached to the fin. Split the straight piece in two and bend one half forwar
