How Do You Build Shelves With Wine Bottles?
Wine bottle shelves are created by using old wine bottles and transforming them into shelves. Make this project out of recycled items. Wine bottle shelves are a way to reuse and give a new life to glass bottles and old wood. Use these shelves to hold books, memorabilia, pictures or other displayed items. Clean the bottles with hot, soapy water. Allow them to dry. Place a 1-by-12 foot piece of wood on a flat surface. Place two wine bottles 1 inch in on each end of the board. Separate the bottles evenly across the board. Mark where the bottles sit. Drill a centered hole between each bottle. Each bottle needs to have one hole on each side. Screw the hook into each drilled hole. Replace the bottles on the board. Lay another 1-by-12 foot piece of wood on top of the bottles. Take a pen or marker and trace the rim of each bottle onto the wood. Remove the wood. For each bottle, drill a hole 1/2 inch larger than the diameter of the rim.
