File extensions are used to determine how information is stored in a file. Based on the file extension, a computer’s operating system will choose the program to open the file. There are instances when a file will have no extension or the wrong extension associated with the file. If files have no extension or the wrong extension, a user needs to change the file extensions to allow the correct program to open the file. Download “Extension Renamer” from Brothersoft (link found in Resources section below). Double-click “ExtensionRenamer.exe” to open the Extension Renamer installation window.
