How Do You Change The Handlebars On A Kawasaki Mean Streak?
Nothing detracts more from the aggressive appearance of Kawasaki’s Mean Streak motorcycle than a bent handlebar, a telltale sign of a low-speed drop. Riding with damaged handlebars can be an embarrassing, and potentially dangerous, situation. But replacing the one-piece drag-style handlebars on the Mean Streak can appear complicated, since the hand controls and headlight must be removed. The job, however, is easier than it appears, but take your time to avoid making a costly mistake. Remove the right switch assembly and throttle tube from the handlebars: Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the pair of screws on the back of the right switch assembly. Pull the switch assembly apart slightly and slide the assembly and throttle tube off the right handlebar.
