How Do You Change The Oil Pan Gasket On A 1990 Isuzu Truck?

0

The 1990 Isuzu truck engine is lubricated by engine oil that circulates throughout the engine under pressure. The engine oil is kept in a reservoir known as the oil pan. The oil pan is located underneath the engine block. The oil pan gasket is sandwiched between the oil pan and the bottom of the engine block and makes an oil seal between the two. Allow the engine to completely cool down. Place drain pan under the oil pan drain plug. Use the crescent wrench turning counterclockwise to loosen and remove the plug. Oil will begin coming out as the plug is removed so make sure the engine is cool. Allow all the oil to drain out until there is just an occasional drip. Use the 3/8-inch ratchet socket combination to remove all the oil pan bolts by turning them counterclockwise. Use the gasket scraper to loosen the seal between the gasket and engine block and remove the oil pan. Use the gasket scraper to remove all the old gasket material. Place the new gasket over the oil pan mating surface. Li
