How Do You Change The String On A Ryobi Weed Trimmer?

0

Ryobi weed trimmers make it easier to keep your yard manicured. Replacing the string on your weed trimmer can seem like a difficult task at first glance, but it’s not. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the parts of your trimmer’s string head and spool before you start to get an idea of how the job will unfold. Remove the spool retainer by turning it either clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the model of the weed trimmer. Remove the spool from the string head. You will notice a spring on the spool. Do not remove the spring from the spool. Cut two lengths of trimmer string 9 feet long with the knife. Ensure that the ends of the string are cut clean to allow them to be inserted into the spool easily. Hold the spool with the spring facing up and insert the first string into the anchor hole in the upper area of the spool. Wind this string counterclockwise around the upper area of the spool until about 6 inches remain. Press the string into one of the string retention slot
