With a little time and a couple of items you probably already have in your home, you can clean the lining of your leather coat. Vacuum the lining using a brush attachment. Do not use attachments or settings that create strong suction or the lining can tear at the seams. Vacuuming the lining removes loose dirt and dust. Pour 1/4 cup powdered laundry detergent into a plastic container and add two cups of warm water. Mix the laundry detergent with the water until it completely dissolves. Dampen a sponge with the laundry detergent cleaning solution and wash the lining of the jacket with the sponge. Be careful not to saturate the lining. Ha
