How Do You Clean The Inside Of Leather Coats?
Because leather coats are damaged with excessive moisture, commercial washing methods are not advisable in cleaning the lining of these garments. There are, however, alternate methods available to effectively wash the lining of leather coats. Implement some easily obtained items with specific application techniques to restore the lining of your leather coat to its original condition. Dampen a clean sponge with warm water. Wring out any excess moisture. Sprinkle powdered laundry detergent onto the sponge. Turn your leather coat inside out and gently scrub the lining with the damp sponge. Be careful not to wet the leather portion of the coat. Rinse out the sponge, thoroughly, and re-dampen it with warm water. Wring out excess moisture and wipe down the lining to remove any detergent residue. Hang the leather coat, while inside out, on a hanger and allow to air dry.
