Configuring your flat screen or LCD monitor for use with your PC is essential if you hope to attain the best picture quality possible. From setting the screen resolution to calibrating the color, it seems like you have your work cut out for you—especially if you’re unfamiliar with computers. Fortunately, configuring a computer monitor using your Windows PC is easy to do and only takes a few minutes. The configuration should be done using the monitor’s default settings. Make sure your PC is connected to your flat screen monitor according to the instructions in the monitor’s user manual. Typically, this connection is made using a VGA cable, S-Video cable, or DVI-D cable.
