How do you connect an in-line amplifier for boosting cable TV signal strength?

Connect one coax cable OUT from the cable wall outlet, and into the “CABLE IN” port of the amplifier, then connect a separate coax cable from the “CABLE OUT” port of the amplifier, directly to the signal receiving device. The signal will pass from the wall outlet to the amplifier, then from the amplifier to the signal reciver and processor. Note that the amplifier may require an electrical source to do its job properly, which means that it might need batteries or a plug-in electrical source to function as expected. If installing batteries into it, make certain that you observe the proper polarity, when inserting any batteries. If the amplifier requires electricity from your household current, I suggest that you plug it into a surge suppessor, so any electrical “spikes” coming into your home will not damage the amplifier, nor any receiving devices to which it may be connected.
