How do you cook a king prawn patia?
KING PRAWN PATIA: Ingredients 150ml/1/4 pt/2/3 cup oil 3 onions, sliced 8 green chilies led red chilies 2 cloves garlic 30ml/2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander (cilantro) salt 2.5ml/1/2 tsp ground coriander ( cilantro) 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp cumin seeds 10ml/2 tsp ground turmeric 150 ml/1/4 pt/2/3 cup water 1 small mango, sliced juice of 1 lemon 450 g/1lb peeled king prawns (shrimp) Method: Heat the oil and fry the onions until browned. Grind together the chilies, garlic, coriander and salt and stir into the pan with the remaining spices and cook for 2 minutes. Add the water, mango , lemon juice and prawns and bring to the boil. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is quite dry. Serve hot with chapattis and vegetables.
