How Do You Create An Action Plan?
An action plan is a simple yet effective tool for any meeting or group. It holds all persons assigned to a task accountable and gives a clear timeline of action items. An action plan simply states specific tasks or assignments to be met, who will complete the task, when the task will be completed, and to what degree. Before your meeting is dismissed make sure everyone is clear as to his or her assignment. After the meeting, email the action plan to participants as a friendly reminder of what is expected. Open a new spreadsheet. Create a column heading titled “Task”. Title the next column “Responsible Party” or “Who”. The next column is headed “Resources Needed”. This denotes any departments, people, or materials that will be needed to assist in completing the task. Title the next column “Completion Date” The last column is “Status”. Save the Action Plan to your computer or flash drive. Print enough copies for everyone who will attend the meeting. IF YOU ENJOYED THIS ARTICLE, PLEASE SCR
