How Do You Create An Indoor Herb Garden Using A Grow Light?
Herbs are useful plants for a kitchen garden. Each herb offers many uses for seasoning your favorite dishes. Most herb types are suitable for an indoor garden if they are provided enough light to thrive. The simplest way to guarantee they receive enough light is to use grow lights. Use either fluorescent tubes in the plant fixtures marketed for plant use or a cool white with a warm white fluorescent tube to provide the optimum light spectrum for your herbs. Fill 8-inch pots with a quality potting mix. Water the potting mix until the water just starts to drain from the bottom drainage holes on the pot. Plant an herb seedling in each pot to the same depth it was planted in its nursery container. Water again to collapse any air bubbles in the soil around the roots.
