How Do You Create Folders In Gmail?
Gmail is fast becoming my favorite way to receive email. It is completely free, allows you tons of space to store old messages, and allows you to have multiple accounts. The main problem with Gmail is that you cannot create folders. In this article I will show you an easy alternative to creating folders in Gmail. Step 1 Create a Label – In the drop down box right above your messages (the default reads “more actions”, click the drop down and select “new label”. Name the label accordingly. Step 2 Select the desired emails – Now simply check the box next to whatever emails you want to go into that folder (label). Step 3 Apply the label – Now that you have selected the emails you want in your new folder, click the drop down box again and apply the label you just created. Step 4 Archive the selected emails – The selected emails should now all have the correct labels attached to them. Before you do anything else, archive them. You do this by simply clicking “Archive”.
