• Take off the ribbon and elastic. Replace the original ribbons with some solid colored, multi-coloured, or patterned ribbon. Sew them on either by hand or with a sewing machine. • If you want to protect your hands from ink, put on a pair of disposable plastic gloves. Then take your permanent marker and start coloring on the pointe shoe. You may want to make your strokes in one direction, but they shouldn’t be to streaky if you skip this. • Take a piece of felt (same color or different) and cut it into the shape of the inside. Glue it on with some fabric glue. • Get a fake flower (same color or different) and put fabric glue on 1/3 of the flower petals. Glue it onto the top “box” of the pointe shoe. Make sure the stem is cut off, and that the green back isn’t touching the shoe (or it’s not touching much.) • Take some of those plastic jewel/gems and glue some on. • If you want, add some extra, smaller jewels.
