How Do You Decorate Window Boxes For Christmas?
In the summer, most homeowners create window boxes that explode with color. Flowering vines cascade over the sides, and brightly colored flowers crowd the center. As winter arrives, however, some homeowners neglect their boxes, and they fill up with old leaves and, worse, bugs. If you have a window box, don’t leave it empty during the Christmas holiday, especially if you decorate the rest of your house. Instead, use the unique space it offers you to add some Christmas cheer to your home. Clean out the window box before you decorate it. Dispose of any dead plants and dump or scoop out the soil. This will prevent bugs for burrowing into the dirt for the winter. Place a shaped potted shrub or topiary in the window box. Center one in the middle of the box, or put one on each end. Decorate your window box with holiday items you might already have. Add a plastic (or outdoor-safe) Christmas figure in between the two shrubs. This could be a lit snowman, twig reindeer or another Christmas decor
