In the latest version of Apple Mac OS X operating system, also known as Leopard, parents were given the ability to control various aspects of their children’s computer accounts, including which programs they could use and how long they could use them for. Once these parental controls are set, however, they are not permanent. Logically, there will be a time when you will want to remove these restrictions and give your children regular access privileges. Log on to your computer with an administrator account. Open System Preferences by clicking on the icon in the dock. Go to the “Parental Controls” control panel underneath the “System” category. Click the lock in the lower-left corner of the new window, and enter your administrative username and password. Choose the account that you wish to disable Parental Controls for from the list on the left side of the window.
