• Determine the problem you are attempting to solve, or what you are testing. Phrase this at the top of the write up. • Determine your theoretical solution to the problem or predicted outcome to the test, and call it a “Hypothesis”. Use an “If this, then that, because of this” format for writing your hypothesis. Have “If this” be what you changed”, “Then this” be your result of changing the hypothesis. “Because of this” is why the reaction occurs. • Then write your materials that you used in a clear, concise list. This will allow anyone to repeat your experiment, and verify your claims. • Write the exact steps and measurements you took, after your material list. Once again, this allows someone to replicate your experiment. • After writing this, record your observation in clear, logical manner.
