With some practice, you can become proficient with glass. A good project for the beginner to start with is drilling into glass. Doing that requires only a bit of time, a few tools, some helpful tips and lots of glass for practice. Place the stopper firmly into the drain of your sink. Turn on the water and fill the sink with enough water to submerge the glass. Place the glass into the water. Turn the variable speed on your drill to a lower setting. Hold the glass firmly. Place the drill bit to the glass and squeeze the trigger of your drill. Press the drill into the glass with enough force to allow the bit to begin your hole but not hard enough to break the glass.
