In the Windows 2000 operating system, Remote Desktop was named “Terminal Services.” The application was renamed with the release of Windows XP. For that reason, some users are unable to find the application settings on a Windows 2000 machine. Terminal Services are not installed automatically on a Windows 2000 computer. Users must install the application in the Windows Control Panel, which enables its use. Click the Windows “Start” button and select “Settings.” In the menu opened, click the “Control Panel” shortcut. Double-click the Control Panel’s “Add/Remove Programs” shortcut. This opens a new window that lists all the programs installed on your machine.
