How do you feel about cash advance services for realtors, specifically from a company called eCommission?

My experience with eCommission was very good. I had heard about them through my company for a few years before actually responding to one of their emails. Deborah is right in that the type of service they provide involves financing commission receivables. Basically, it’s an advance on commission prior to a sale’s closing date. I was cautious about this before trying them because I have had a few deals go south recently, mainly due to buyer financing issues. But for me, the advance worked out perfectly. I had three deals pending, all closing in 45 to 60 days, and needed to pay an unexpected bill right away. I didn’t want to go to my Broker and I thought about cash advancing off a credit card, but the more I read about this service the more it made sense. I filled out an application online and had the money wired to my bank account the next day. Yah, it can be expensive so if you’re thinking about it, give them a call and ask for cost estimate. That’s what I did. I think I paid around $2
