Field stripping the FN P90 and the FN PS90 removes the working parts of the guns for cleaning and inspection. The P90 is a fully automatic weapon restricted to law enforcement use only, while the PS90 is the semi-automatic civilian model and is available to anyone who can legally own a gun. It’s possible to field strip either model in 10 seconds. Push the magazine release button and remove the magazine from the gun. Open the chamber to be sure the gun is completely unloaded. Put a finger into the magazine housing to locate the disassembly button. Press down on the button. This allows you to pull the upper receiver forward and away from the lower body to remove the four working assemblies. Pull the barrel support/optical sight group forward out of the stock assembly. Push the moving parts group forward through the magazine opening. Raise the hammer group-locking latch and withdraw the hammer group. Lift out the frame and trigger section.
