How do you get a little boy to give up his nappies and use the potty?

I have 3 boys and they were all different ages when they came out of nappies. The best thing I can suggest is slowly but surely. My 1st started by having a pee just before bath and bed and we built it up from there. The ultimate ‘get it cracked’ routine was no nappy – get proper pants and a few pairs of old jogging trousers that you don’t mind them getting peed and pooed on. No troulbe when the got wet, just consistant, controlled behaviour from you that tries to encourage him to get to the potty before it gets to that stage. Try gettin into a routine of times to try – after getting up in the morning, after meals, about to go out the door. My 3rd by passed the potty and went straight to the toilet. We have a padded seat that sits on top of the big seat. And don’t fret about getting him to pee in the big toilet standing up – sitting and letting it dangle is perfectly acceptable and much cleaner to begin with!
