Roaches hide, live and feed in dark and damp places. They will quickly hide when a light is turned on. When you see one roach, there are many more that you can’t see. There is a way that you can get rid of them fairly easily and cheaply. Using boric acid is poison in their stomachs and can cause damage to their outsides. Cleaning your kitchen frequently and regular vacuuming can help to lower roach populations. Take all food and dishes out of cabinets and drawers. Put food in sealed containers. Clean all counter tops, inside cabinets, drawers, and in any dark places in your kitchen and bathrooms with mild soapy water. Put trash outside of the house. Vacuum all carpets and other floors making sure to clean in corners and along walls. Fill holes and seal cracks in exterior walls and floors with caulk or foam
