How Do You Gets Rid Of Snails In An Aquarium?

0

Snails can be a great addition to any aquarium because they act as “cleaners” to remove algae from the tank. Unfortunately, snails lay a lot of eggs at one time. Once these eggs hatch, it isn’t long before snails overrun your tank. Too many snails can be harmful for the fish because they will eat most of the fish food, causing your fish to starve and die. Put on a pair of plastic gloves. Reach in to your tank and pick the extra snails out. You can leave a few snails in the tank to continue to clean algae. Draw the snails together in one place. This can easily be done by placing a piece of lettuce inside a small glass jar. Set the glass jar in the aquarium, and turn the aquarium lights off so that the snails will become active and eat the lettuce. Wait about an hour and then remove the glass jar. Take the snails out of the glass jar. Add catfish and betta fish to your tank. These fish eat snails.
