Bamboo will grow its own new roots, so you just need to make sure you choose a chute that’s a healthy shade of light green – neither yellow nor dark green. Choose an interesting transparent container to keep your bamboo. That way you can see the roots! I like to use a transparent glass, small pot, or jar for my bamboo plants.
