Disconnect the negative battery cable by unscrewing the clamp that connects the cable to the battery with a screwdriver. Pull the cable away from the battery. Use the jack to raise the Pontiac Grand Prix off the ground enough to work underneath. Place jack stands underneath to secure the car. Twist off the radiator cap slowly.
