Hello, (ANS) VERITAS Backup exec is an extremely high quality professional backup program. Now it depends if you are installing the program on a desktop or workstation or server. But either way you will need to have system administrator rights & permissions on the machine concerned to install the program and then to configure it. i.e. login into windows as the local machines “administrator” (Or if its a server the domain administrator) and using the correct administrators password if you have set one up. *once backup exec 10 is installed you will need to make sure it knows which backup device/s are available or which it can (or should) use.
