How Do You Install Javascript?
Javascript is actually part of the Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment; it’s not a program in and of itself. It’s a programming language that Web designers use in order to add dynamic content to a Web page. Installing Java is a simple procedure, and is completely free. Visit the Java website listed in the Resources below. “Java Downloads for All Operating Systems,” will open in your browser. Make certain that your browser allows Java and Javascript to run. To confirm this, check your browser’s “Preferences” or “Options” menu. Under the Content or Page Options menu, there will be several check boxes for Java. Make sure each is filled. For Firefox users running the No Script plug-in, make sure that “Java.com” is selected as a permitted site. Find your operating system on the page. Included systems are Windows, Solaris, Linux and MacOS. Click on the link that coincides with your operating system type. A dialog box will pop up asking if you’d like to save the file. Click “OK.” Close
