How do you install sound speech and audio devices on windows xp?

Windows XP already has a speech function installed. If you go to Control Panel and then choose the ‘Speech’ function you can set it up from there. Of course you will need an audio device installed. The first thing you should do is go back to Control Panel then click on “Sound and Audio Devices” to see if there is anything installed. If you know the hardwear is already installed (the sound card has been physically installed inside the machine or forms part of your physical motherboard). If not, then buy a soundcard and install it – it will come with a disk or memory stick with all the software needed. If it is already installed then you should be able to see the name in Comtrol Panel.
