Polyhedra are three-dimensional solids made of straight-edged polygons joined at their edges. Polyhedra are named based on the number of sides they have. The simplest polyhedron is a tetrahedron–a pyramid with three sides and a base. As with most geometric constructions, you’ll only need a couple of basic measuring and writing tools to make some very impressive models. If you’re not interested in making your own models, you can download premade models online, print them out and skip right to folding them. Draw an equilateral triangle in the center of your paper. Use the ruler to make sure that the sides are the same length and the protractor to be sure that the angles are all 60 degrees. Draw another equilateral triangle that shares a side with one of the sides of your first triangle. Repeat this two more times so that you have one triangle with a triangle attached to each side.
