How Do You Make A Cheap, Modern Magnetic Art Display Wall?
I came up with this cheap, modern magnetic art display piece when I redecorated my teen daughter’s room — but it would work equally well in a kitchen or family room. An easy, stylish way to display kid’s drawings, photos or other memorabilia — and it only costs about $5. Determine what size you want to make your art display. If you plan on using it for larger pieces – remember to leave enough space between straps – about 18 inches should leave plenty of room for about anything with overlap. The galvanized metal structural straps come in sizes from 6 to 36 inches, so there is a lot of flexibility. Go to your local hardware store and purchase your supplies. I used wide metal washers to cover the large holes in the strap. Don’t forget to get anchors for your screws if you are mounting the straps onto drywall. Measure out your spacing for the straps and use a level to get them straight. Screw each one in and you’re done. Get those magnets and go to town.
