How Do You Make A Cushioned Ottoman?
Have you ever priced covered ottomans? Not only are they quite pricey, you’re stuck with fabric that doesn’t match your home. Why not make your own? With basic tools, it’s pretty darn easy. If you are just going to recover an existing ottoman you can skip to step 4. Here’s how… The first step is determining how large you want your ottoman. Let’s assume you’re going to want a 2″ cube. If you’re going to make it, don’t waste the storage possibilities. Making it with a lid will let you store tons of stuff. Cut your side boards all to 2ft square*. An easy way to put it all together is to use a piece of wood for each corner, just screw your sides right into the corner. You can also use L shaped brackets. You should now have a four sided cube with no top or bottom. Measure the size you’ll need for those and cut two. The top one will eventually be mounted to the box with hinges.
