Kir Royale is a festive and delicious cocktail. Although they are often blended, a layered Kir Royale makes a very attractive drink. There are several versions of the invention of the Kir Royale. One story is that the local priest of a French village organized a derailment of a train carrying German soldiers, which saved the village’s wine stock.
