What child hasn’t wanted to be a pirate for Halloween or for playing “pretend”. You don’t have to spend a lot of cash to make the pirate dream come true. You don’t have to sew either. Most of the costume ideas in this article are easy, no sew. Your biggest challenge will be digging for the “buried treasure” in your own closets and dresser drawers to make your pirates come alive! Yo Ho Matey! The boy pirate costume is made up of some basic pieces that you have around the house: pants or jeans and a t-shirt. In the picture, these were some PJ bottoms but I’ve used old jeans that I’ve cut and frayed on the bottom. It just depends on how fancy you want to make your pirate!
