How Do You Make A Rope Braid?
• Start with clean, well-combed hair. • Pull your hair back into a ponytail secured with an elastic band. • Separate the ponytail into three equal sections. • Twist the right section to the right several times, then cross it all the way over the other two sections. • Repeat step four until the braid is the desired length. Finish off with an elastic band when the braid is as long as you want it. • Gather a handful of hair at the top of the hair as you would for a French braid. • Divide it into three pieces. • Cross the right – then the left – over the center as if you were starting a basic braid. • Add a little hair to the right strand and twist to the right. • Pinch the right strand and add hair to the left strand. Twist the left strand to the right. • Cross the right strand over the other two. Repeat steps four through six until braid is desired length and secure with a hair tie.
