There is likely to be a lot of tinsel decorations this Christmas season. The trend is popular once again, particularly with the baby boomers. After all, many of them once owned one of those infamous aluminum trees, which have also made a comeback. Luckily, tinsel decorations are not that difficult to make. Because of that, they can provide a fun project for the entire family. Below are instructions for creating a tinsel wreath out of metallic ribbon. Figure out the size and color of tinsel wreath you want to make. Wreaths generally range between 12 and 24 inches in diameter. Purchase supplies if you don’t already have everything you need on hand. This project will use between 20 and 40 yards of metallic ribbon. Cut the floral wire into lengths that are roughly 4 inches long. Go longer if you want because wire can be trimmed whenever needed.
