The D-Loop allows the archer to avoid touching the arrow or string altogether. The only action needed is to pull back and release the D-Loop, which allows the archer to avoid any unnecessary or cumbersome movements in his release. Before the D-Loop, an archer would have to clamp the arrow and the bow string together with his fingers. Cut a piece of 4-inch material from the braided bow string. It does not need to be exact. You can add or take a little more away, depending on the size of your fingers. Use a lighter or a match and carefully burn the two ends of the braided material together. Allow the flame to singe the tips of the material, without causes them to catch on fire and fuse. This will disallow the loop from sliding or coming undone very easily.
